"Great Trip"

We drove to Hunstanton to have a nice day out and it didn't disappoint. The Wash Monster is well worth the money. The commentary from Dave (Bob if you didn't enjoy yourself!) was very funny and full of interesting information about the coastline and local history. Take the trip and pay the money to keep this lovely boat (amphibian?) on the water :-)

"A Must Do in Hunstanton"

The number one attraction in sunny Hunny. Prominent on the central promenade, you have to book in advance at this time of year due to its well deserved popularity and then confirm attendance on the morning of your trip. Arrive early to pay, (cards accepted), join the short queue and away you go over the sands at low tide out to a sandbank on an impressive amphibious vehicle where the seals are virtually guaranteed to be watching you watch them as they sun themselves as you quietly drift past. Fascinating for kids and interesting for adults with an informative, informal and humerous commentary from Dave. Couldn't fault it - thanks.

"Absolutely brilliant"

The captain and the "ambassador" are a fantastic team. Lots of laughs and interesting points and facts along the way so friendly and brilliant with the kids. We saw loads of seals and ALOT jumped the sea in and swam along the riptides the vehicle made.

“Greatest day out ever”

Myself and my husband along with our little dog Lenny booked a trip on the wash monster the amphibious vessel that takes you out on a number of excursions.

We chose to go for the 1 hour ( we were on the boat for a bit longer) this trip is called the seal safari, where we were able to get close enough to the common seal colony,( the largest colony of common seals in the country,

We were able to watch the seals going about their daily business, it was wonderful to watch these huge charming creatures in their own environment and not in some closed in zoo/ sea life centre.

We were able to get some beautiful photos of these majestic creatures without frightening them, the skipper made certain that his boat never disturbed the seals and we were asked by him very politely to be as quiet as we could.

The skipper and his deckhand David were absolutely brilliant, telling us all the information about the areas we were able to see from the vessel, IE the Hunstanton lighthouse, the beautiful cliffs, the view of the queens sandringham estate etc etc,

The seats were comfortable and the actual trip was very well done, it was a beautiful day out and I would recommend it to everyone visiting Hunstanton or the surrounding areas to make this trip top of their list of things to do in Hunstanton.

Our little dog was dry well behaved and enjoyed the trip as much as myself and my husband, The cost of the trip for myself and my husband was £16 each, very very cheap for such a wonderful well thought out safe and exciting trip, well done skipper and very well done deckhand Dave.

“Wash Monster”

We took our grandchildren aged 4 and 6 on the wash monster this week. The captain entertained the children offering captains hats to wear. The half hour trip took us along the coast to the lighthouse passing the coloured cliffs. The trip is a must to do whilst visiting Hunstanton.

“An unusual and FUN trip to see seals in the wild!”

A trip on an amphibious vessel that takes you out at low tide on a SEAL SAFARI! Much fun for adults and children with friendly helpful staff on board. Info sheets and binoculars provided. We found a colony of 15 seals sunbathing on one of the sand banks. Great for photography and loads of fun.

Highly recommended. If I could give this attraction 10 stars instead of five, I most definitely would! £16 a head ..well worth it!
